Special Edition: City Council Candidates Forum For 2026 Election

We have a very special BC Podcast today. In past election cycles, we’ve interviewed the candidates for mayor, city council and judge individually to hear their views on issues of importance to Boulder City residents. In this episode, we invited all the candidates to join us for a public forum at the Elaine K. Smith Center in town. They all agreed, but at the last minute, candidate Adam Schultheis canceled because of a family emergency. So we went with the three remaining candidates, incumbents Cokie Booth and Steve Walton, along with challenger Chris Gatlin. All candidates received questions ahead of time and were allotted 2 minutes each for the answers. About 60 people attended the event. Early voting is already underway and Election Day is on November 3 so make sure you get your ballot in. The moderator was Boulder City Podcast host Roger Gros. Special thanks to Boulder City Social, the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce, Grand Turner, and Billy Walker Media for their assistance in organizing this event.
