Today we continue our series of interviews with the candidates for elected office in Boulder City for the primary election in early June. The positions being contested are 1) the Justice of the Peace, replacing Judge Victor Miller, who is not running for re-election, and 2) two positions on City Council. Today, we sit down with an incumbent on City Council who is running for re-election, Sherri Jorgenson. Sherri was elected in 2021 and has served as mayor pro tem whenever Mayor Joe Hardy is away. She has lived in Boulder City for 25 years and has raised her children here, one of which has Downs syndrome. She spoke with BC Podcast host Roger Gros at the podcast office in Boulder City in April.
