Today we’re joined by Doug Scheppmann, who runs the local State Farm insurance agency and who was honored recently by the City Council of Boulder City for giving back to the community. Scheppmann arrived in Boulder City more than 40 years ago and quickly began to volunteer for various organizations in the town. He was one of the first members of Sunrise Rotary, and has been involved in their Graduation Night Out for high school senior, one of the most popular events for those young people. He also was involved in helping Judge Victor Miller to set up the Boulder City Drug Court that helps people into recovery when the commit a drug-related crime, an effort that has saved hundreds of lives. He spoke with Boulder City Podcast host Roger Gros at the podcast offices in Boulder City in January.
