Boulder City's own Lexi Lagan recently won two medals at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. She sits down with Boulder City Podcast host Roger Gros to talk about her career and her future aspirations.
When it comes to the Olympics, Boulder City boxes above its weight. In the past, the city has been the starting point for several Olympic athletes and today there are currently two active competitors, swimmer Zane Grothe and the subject of our podcast this week, Lexi Lagan. A native of Boulder City, Lagan found her love for shooting at the Boulder City ranges with her family, which includes mother Jill Lagan, the CEO of the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce. When she went away to college at the University of Utah, she joined the marksmanship club and discovered a hidden talent which led to high level competition, including a selection to the U.S. shooting team at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Just last month she won two medals at the Pan American Games and obtained an Olympic quota for Paris 2024. She talks about her career and her hopes for the future with host Roger Gros in November.
