Today the Boulder City Podcast sits down Zane Grothe., the championship swimmer from Boulder City, who last year won two medals at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. Zane recently retired to get on with the rest of his life, but he recounts has many years in swimming—how he got started swimming in Lake Mead, then swimming for the high school team and going to college at Auburn University on a scholarship. He also evaluates the 2024 U.S. Olympic Swim team. He talks about individual swimmers and their chances to bring back medals from the Olympics, which start in Paris on Friday. He spoke with Boulder City Podcast host Roger Gros via Zoom from his home in Alabama in July.
